What is “Sha”?
Sha is a kind of toxic in our body. There are 2 meanings to it.

Important Points to note
1) The room need to be well ventilated. It should be done at comfortable temperature whether winter or summer.
It is not advisable to scrape the patient when he/she is facing directly at the blowing fan or air conditioner.
2) During scrapping, we have to observe the patient’s response. Check if he/she is well, whether he/she is looking pale in the face. Also observe any cold sweat, or if the heart beat is going fast.
If the patient appears unwell, the sessions has to be stopped immediately. Let him/her lay down and rest. Give him/her a cup of salt/sugar lukewarm water.
3) If the patient appear well, complete the treatment until you see some red spots appear, than, clean dry any excess water or oil.
Let him/her put on the clothing and make sure the patient have proper rest in the next few days. If the area is painful, it is absolutely normal.
I suggest that you drink a cup of lukewarm water after the scrapping therapy. This is to replenish the water lost during the treatment.
Also, it will help to stimulate the qi* and blood at the same time increase metabolism. Thus, the toxic can be purge out from the urine.
(*qi - This is the vital energy or life force which flows through the meridians and is used to protect, transform and warm the body.)
Every treatment needs about 5 to 6 sessions. Every scrapping need to have the interval of 3 to 5 days. If one treatment is not effective. Then, try doing the 2nd , 3rd treatment until you see improvement.
Although scrapping therapy will result the “sha” (small red spots) to surface on the skin. But, some illnesses can see “sha” faster than the other illnesses, therefore, don’t over scrape the skin too much to make sure you see it. Because over scrapping may be more harmful to the illness.
